Comments:

After graduating from Boston University, I lived in NYC and worked in advertising. In 1972, I moved to Los Angeles and attended UCLA Graduate Film School. While at UCLA I wrote for THE BOB NEWHART show, M*A*S*H and also wrote scripts for Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, etc. I met my wife-to-be, Liz, in 1988 and we discovered the wonderment of Italy where we've been traveling almost every year since 1995. Since then, I've been working with Liz in the industry of Children's Publishing and Entertainment. In 2000, I co-created an animated TV series called ToddWorld which aired on the Discovery Kids Channel. The series was EMMY-nominated 3x for "Outstanding Animated Children's Program." I've won 4 children's book awards and live at the beach outside LA, in Pacific Palisades, which is similar to West Hartford without a Friendly's Ice Cream Parlor.

I have fond memories, too, Rick.  We kept the beer companies in business. The three of us also had so much fun at the beach.  Great being a 17 year old in West Hartford in 1964.  Hope you and your family are well.

Dub was my best friend from High School, and our friendship continued up until his passing.  He lived just two miles from me and we spoke often and made it a point to meet for coffee every Friday.  He had a great sense of humor and we shared so much in common.  Whenever I come across a meaningful article about the world situation or politics, my first instinct still is to text it to him.  Friday's are not the same without him.  He will be especially missed by me.  My heart goes out to his wife Janet, his daughter Jenny and the rest of his family.

Wanted to add the 9/11 tributes by sharing this article I wrote for my local newspaper. My wife and I were in Italy in September 2001 for the entire month. The spirit of the Italian people kept us going through those dismal weeks.
