Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments:

On June 16, 1969, five days after graduating from college, a friend and I decided to pack suitcases and fly to San Francisco. We had no jobs, no place to stay and only about $100 each. Not very smart! But somehow I figured out something to do with my life (became an ESL teacher) and had the opportunity to work in Brazil, teach in Japan, and meet wonderful people from all over the world.

I got married in 1987 to a man I met on a bicycle trip (Charles Wilson) and and one son (June 1988) who currently lives in Chicago. I'm still working as a lecturer at UC Berkeley in the area of ITA (international teaching assistants) training. I should retire, but I'm still having too much fun working.

Looking forward to coming to the 50th reunion in October.

School Story:

no story, but here are a few foggy memories

1. Modern History, Mr Derosier: Didn't he always say something like "Remember to consider the political, economic, social, and religious factors when..." Another foggy memory --when studying the French revolution, we kept reading about "the people." One day Mr. Derosier asked us, "Who are 'the people'?" And after a long silence someone said, "Are we the people?" Not sure what happened next.

2 French , Mr. Poirier: We all had to do skits in French. I remember Trudy Kaufman and I working hard to come up with a French version of A Christmas Carol. Some group did a fake surgery, complete with a patient and ketchup-stained sheet .

3. A King Philip Junior High School memory: Section 7 G --Math class
We walked into the class and our teacher, Dr. Berg?, had written on the board, " 2 + 3 = 10 (or something like that) and then asked us if that was possible. He then taught us about number systems, the binary systme, etc.. He was WAY ahead of his time.

I got to know Jay a little but during the summer of 1963 (or 64?), when I joined a study abroad trip at the  "College de Cannes" in France, which had been organized by Jay's father, Irving Starr,s then dean of the University of Hartford. I remember Jay's beautiful eyes and quiet, friendly presence.
