I got to know CURTIS early in my high school years, and for some reason that I'll never understand we bonded very closely. Through high school and in college, I can't begin to count the number of incidents where one or both of us got into trouble together; At Conard HS, Northeastern University, University of Vermont, and even in Washington DC. Curt was always quiet and soft-spoken; no one would ever guess that he had another more adventurous side. One particular memory stands out. While working as an Extern for a newspaper in Winsted, Connecticut, there was a Townhall meeting for the environmental safety of their rubbish disposal plan. Curt brought me in and introduced me as an expert in the subject. Enough said! Life gets in the way of Relationships caused by distance. Curt obviously had an incredibly productive personal and professional life, and we probably had not talked for more than two decades. Then one night, he called me out of the blue, and we spoke for probably two or three hours, playing catch up with each other. We spoke to her three more times, but this was the year in which he passed away. I thought I had posted something when I learned of his passing, but obviously not. Thank you, John Nishan For bringing this matter to my attention again. I hope you're still playing the Clarinet.
Curt is missed, and in truth, I think of him at odd times that bring back all sorts of wonderful, rich memories. A very belated goodbye, dear friend.

Happy Birthday Steven. Many happy childhood memories from times spent along CT coast. Maybe I will be able to get to one of Conard’s yearly FL luncheons!

Retired!
Jay and I became good friends while in junior high. In retrospect, he was one of those rare individuals with both high intellect and finely honed interpersonal skills, and it is no surprise to learn how successful he has been in so many different spheres. I have special, fond memories of a carpool and some of the raucous behavior that his mother had to tolerate, as well as a vacation we shared on the CT shoreline. Although it has been more than a few years since we last spoke, I will sincerely miss his friendship.
